The International Consumer Electronic Show is like living in the Jetsons’ cartoon. C.E.S, which is put on every January in Las Vegas by the Consumer Electronics Association, is probably one of the greatest things that could happen to the technology industry. Why would I say that? Well because who would want to turn down the opportunity to view all the latest technology and gadgets before they even hit the market. So take a look at a few of the devices that made an appearance on C.E.S., read along, and feel free to comment about which gadgets peak your interest.
LG introduced an 84inch ”ultra definition” flat screen television that is equipped with features such as voice recognition, 3D gesture control, and Smart Share Plus along with Wi-Fi (being able to watch what’s on TV on your mobile device). The television is also available in different sizes.
The PC reinvents itself and remains relevant with the Ultrabook. It resembles the MacBook Air as it doesn’t have a slot for DVDs and hard disk drives. The Ultrabook’s features include: battery life longer than 8 hours, turns on instantly, Flash memory, and is outstandingly thinner than 0.8 inches.
Fitbit’s Wi-Fi Smart Scale will seemingly strengthen our ability to comfortably talk about weight. The ability to share your weight-loss journey from the scale onto the Fitbit website is available, and if you’re bold enough, you can do some sharing on Facebook as well. The scale, Aria, keeps track of weight, body fat percentage, and body mass index.
Karotz, which look exactly like rabbits, made its appearance through Violet, a UK, based company, at C.E.S. The internet connected bunnies have the ability to update Twitter and Facebook pages, send emails, and read texts. The device is equipped with voice recognition as well as a built in webcam and microphone.
